I grew up on a farm on the North York Moors surrounded by dogs, horses and other animals. I have worked with animals off and on ever since. I am a qualified psychotherapist since 2004, prior to which I worked on programmes with young people in care with the help of animals as therapy including dogs, wild dolphins and horses. For many years I worked in wildlife rehabilitation specialising in Grey and Common seals, both in Holland and Ireland. I also ran my own dog rescue in Ireland.
Since my return to the UK I have worked both for voluntary counselling services and in a hospice, after which I returned to Oxford and set up OxPaws in 2015 providing a dog care service for people, like myself, that want the very best for their dogs. My focus is to provide dogs not only with the exercise, socialisation and stimulation they need but also oodles of fun when their nearest and dearest is not available due to work, other commitments or circumstance.
